Technology Fail

Tonight my ipod touch arrived--I was so excited . . . after hooking it up to both our computers realized it won't work. Dennis needs to get permission to download new updates etc on his work computer and our home computer is too old to handle the new updates. So I'll wait a little longer. Frustrating. And a very silly thing to be upset about.

I also have a cold. A dripping, sneezing, yucky cold. I just need to drink some orange juice and take some good drugs.

Tomorrow will bring a new day.

Pajama Day

Today was pajama day--I wouldn't have thought wearing to pjs to school could bring such excitement--but it did. Dominick woke up at 5 AM! And came into our bedroom--too excited to sleep.

Random

Xander: I love you.
Dennis: I love you too Xander
Xander: Will you marry me?
...
Dennis: Well, um
Xander: You can be one of the dads.
...
Xander: In California!
Dennis: You want me to be part of your group of dads in California?
Xander Yes!

Colors

Xander's school is studying colors this week--so each day he is to wear a different color. I printed up a list and it's posted in his room--I'm an organized super mom!

Dennis told me that when he picked up Xander there was a sheet to sign if you DIDN'T want your child to color on their face and hands. He asked if it was ok that we didn't put our names on the list. He's come home green before, kids wash. I'm that kind of a mom.

Checkers and Chess

This weekend we taught Dominick checkers, tonight Dennis taught him chess. He's getting so much older. This weekend he also read an entire Magic Treehouse book. He was so impressed with himself, wondered if he could read during the day (instead of only at night) Umm, yes!

Xander was invited to his first birthday party. So excited for him. All his playdates have been with Dominick's friends so I am pleased that he'll get to go to a party of his own.

My boys are growing up.

School Carnival

Just tucked in two tired boys after the excitement of the school's annual carnival. We all fun, Dennis won tickets to golf . . . not quite sure who will go with him. Dominick wants to stay home all day and play with all the new "toys." When I mentioned we could set up our own carnival a little squeal escaped his lips.

Xander loved seeing all the babies and chatting up almost everyone. He cracks me up sometimes. There was a DJ and Xander has some pretty sweet moves. The Walter wedding coming up is going to be fun :)

Happy we're at Indian Prairie, looking forward to next year's carnival when we'll know even more people. For workers they recruited high school students and football players (who were quite large for all the tiny furniture). It was so nice not to have to work at the carnival, keeping up with the boys was enough.
